Our privacy approach
Captain Paws is offline-first. It does not operate a Captain Paws account, custom gameplay backend, advertising network, analytics service, attribution service, public profile, multiplayer service, or chat system. Khanova Group does not sell or use player data for cross-app tracking.
Information stored on your device
The game stores progress, records, medals, earned doubloons, inventory, loadout, settings, and deterministic run information in local app storage. This information is used only to provide the game experience on the device.
Local gameplay data remains until removed by the player, the operating system, or app removal, subject to the device platform’s backup behavior. Captain Paws V1 does not provide cloud save or a remote player profile to delete.
Full Adventure purchases
Full Adventure purchase, restoration, and ownership reconciliation are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. The applicable store processes account, payment, transaction, and refund information under its own terms and privacy policy. Captain Paws does not receive or store payment-card details.
After the platform verifies ownership, the game may store a bounded local entitlement record containing the platform, product identifier, a hashed transaction reference, verification revision, and last verified state. It is not uploaded to a Captain Paws server or used as an advertising identifier.
Sharing
Sharing occurs only when a player chooses Share, Copy, or QR. The shared challenge describes a deterministic run configuration such as mode, seed, rules version, Voyage, environment, gadget, or Daily date. It excludes the player’s name, account, profile identifier, installation identifier, score, and identifying timestamp.
The player chooses the destination application through the device share sheet. That destination’s privacy practices apply after the player shares. QR codes are generated locally and do not require camera access.
Permissions and tracking
Captain Paws V1 does not request camera, microphone, contacts, photo-library, precise location, or tracking permission. The game contains no third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDK.
Audience
Captain Paws is family-friendly general-audience entertainment. It is not submitted as an Apple Kids Category app and does not knowingly operate an account or service that collects personal information from children.
Your choices
Audio, captions, haptics, motion, contrast, and presentation preferences are available in Settings. Local gameplay data can be removed by deleting the app or clearing its local data. Removing local data does not erase a platform purchase record; ownership is managed by the store account.
